Yervant vs The Beckham's
17 November 2006 by: YervantOver the last few days, I received heaps of e-mails and also some phone calls about David and Posh Beckham’s new perfume advertisement.
Initially I did not go looking for it, but then again, tonight, a good buddy brought me a copy of the ad, torn from a high fashion magazine. Well, I had to laugh!!!
Now I understand what the fuss is all about!

Here’s a game: ‘Spot the difference’

Here’s the actual ad as it appears worldwide.
I heard one that that to copy someones works is not bad …great is to copy someones idea….
They copied all….and to tell yo uthe truth your image is more dramatic…maybe they should hire you for next add
Cheers
your photo is much better!!!!
Interesting dilemma. Could be “coincidental”,... then again we live in an era where the internet has reduced the size of the world significantly. So many are inspired by their more experienced contemporaries to reach great heights of creativity. I know I am. But inspiration and “photocopying” are two separate issues.
Must say your’s is a classic, Yervant. Execution and processing is magnificent. Thousands of wedding photographers around the world have admired it.

Copy cats!
This should be an honour to you Yervant and I would also let Backham know who created the shot he might book you for his next wedding ;)

Wow Yervant….that is crazy! Well what can you say, you are good and you have many people admiring your work. I must say your image is much better! You can never truly copy the real thing! :-)
Cheers!

They did this in a studio. You did it at a real wedding with out controlled lighting and still yours looks better. You should feel honoured. When you are being copied you know you are the leader of the pack. I would contact the add company and ask them about it.
Both are nice images, in my opinion very different.
I am not an international copyright expert, but in listening to ASMP in my country over the years, this seems to POTENIALLY be a copyright infrigement issue, IMHO. The placement of her hand, in addition to his hand, makes it appear more than just similar inspiration. But maybe I’m offbase.
excuse me .. is anyone know who’s that girl ?? i mean her name .. please can you tell me ..!
thank you
