25 Years WoW!!!

25th Wedding Anniversary

I know I know!! I am not writing enough on my BLOG, just wish I had more time… it’s been another hectic year, I keep taking notes to remind me about things I want to share, then the moment passes and I decide to move on…but more to come soon.

I am on vacation with Anie right now, sort of our gift to each other for our 25th wedding anniversary, so we are officially on vacation but… we both can’t stop ourselves from business, we just love it, it is never work for us, it is just the way we live, work is a very enjoyable part of our life because it is fun for us… we must be nerds!!

So, we are driving along the Italian and French Rivieras stopping at some really amazing posts like Rapallo, Portofino, Cinqué Terre, Monaco Cannes, Nice … some nice places, thinking of doing a workshop programme maybe in 2009 here… offers a photographer a lot of play-scope, I just imagine having some gorgeous couples here to photograph, mamma mia what a canvas!!!

I am working on some new upgrades for Page Gallery, I can’t help it, I get so many ideas when I am relaxed that I have to put them down to work in progress, amazing what clean air will do to the mind… I think mine is working on a turbo engine right now, I am so full of it !! (I mean NEW ideas..) I can’t type fast enough to catch up;)

I am also working on a new software all together, no, not another design software, more like an office manager for studios… I see that there is a real need out there for something comprehensive and easy and useful, so that’s my new challenge.

Melbourne is in winter now, so shooting season is also sleeping now, I have Laura my Studio manager and my NEW shooter …. covering the few winter weddings so I can take time out and let my lenses get some rest too. When I go home I will post some of my new wedding images.

I did a solo seminar in Moscow last year, it was the first of such a seminar dedicated to pro wedding photographers, we had about 300-400 attendees, then I did a last minute organized workshop and a small wedding. The response was really overwhelming, even if most could not speak much English, the power of images prevails all, it is a whole language of it’s own, I see this no matter where I go, once behind the cameras, we are all speaking the same language.

I love Russia and the fun loving , friendly & hospitable people.

This year, the organisers invited me back for what is to be the very first official Russian Pro. Photog. Association event which is sponsored by big leagues from industry and also the Russian government. Their first official equivalent of WPPI type of convention.
When they invited me back for this big new event, I asked them to extend an invitation to two of my favourite speakers too, Joe and Bambi, I love both their work but most of all their generosity of continually giving to the industry, they share without holding back, they are passionate about our craft, and they are always evolving and creating, so they are truly inspirational! So next week we are all in Moscow for this premier event.
