Thunderstruck, Gobsmacked and pleasantly SURPRISED !!
Having just found my ground again after workshops and seminars in Greece, UK and Ireland, I arrived home to some pretty nice news.
I have been voted as Australia’s best Wedding Photographer.
‘Capture’ is Australia’s top selling Pro Photography magazine. It ran a poll to seek Australia’s best pro-photographers in 11 categories of the industry. Over 70 esteemed judges participated to select their choice in each category.
This is not an entry or print-based award, judging focuses on the importance of professional reputation amongst the pros and also clients, and not just on print criteria, therefore the photographers’ body of work and credentials are assessed, not a particular image or series.
Judges are asked to rank their Top 3 photographers in their relevant category, Important criteria for judging is: Style, Creativity, Technical Leadership, Approachability and Client Service.
In wedding category, I am honoured to rank in first position, runner-up is one guy I truly love Graham Munro in Sydney and third place my good pal Marcus Bell from Brisbane.
I do not know who the judges are as all is done on line, but I thank all 70+ judges for taking the time to study our industry and provide feedback, I am truly honoured. I am passionate with what I do and totally humbled that my efforts have made a mark in our industry, thank you to all those who continue encouraging me and allowing me to take more steps and hopefully offer some inspiration as a result.
